ree

The Lubbock Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is proud to celebrate several of our distinguished members who were honored across the city of Lubbock in 2025 for their outstanding contributions to education, leadership, and community service.

Sorors Dr. Raegan Higgins Siwatu and Nedra Hotchkins were recognized as YWCA Women of Excellence, a prestigious honor that celebrates trailblazing women making a lasting impact in the Lubbock community through leadership, service, and advocacy.

Soror Monique Murry was celebrated for her exceptional dedication to education, receiving both the Ervin Teacher of the Year award and the Feeder Pattern Teacher of the Year award. Her work continues to inspire students and fellow educators alike.

Our very own chapter president, Soror D’Juana McPherson, was named a Hometown Hero, recognizing her leadership, service, and unwavering commitment to uplifting the Lubbock community.

We are beyond proud of these women for exemplifying the ideals of Delta Sigma Theta and for shining their light so brightly across our city. Their achievements are a reflection of the power of purpose-driven service, and we are honored to call them Sorors.
