Lubbock Alumnae Partners with American Red Cross to Install Smoke Detectors

The Lubbock Alumnae teamed up with the American Red Cross, Lubbock Roots Historical Council and members of our D9 family to install more than 150 smoke detectors in homes across our community. It was an incredibly rewarding day of service.

We divided into five teams and had the privilege of serving our elders and families throughout the area, helping make their homes safer and giving them greater peace of mind.

We were also proud to learn that Lubbock Alumnae currently has the most successful smoke detector installation campaign in Texas!

A special shoutout to Team 1, made up of two Zetas and a Kappa, for installing the most detectors of the day. This team knocked out an impressive 50 smoke detectors!

We are so proud of everyone who showed up, served, and represented the spirit of community service. Thank you to the American Red Cross, our D9 family, Lubbock Roots Historical Council, and every volunteer who helped make this day so special.
